Kae Bahar

BIOGRAPHY

British citizen and Kurdistan-born multi-award-winning Producer, Writer & Director – Kae Bahar has worked internationally as a documentary filmmaker and actor.

In 2003, Kae obtained a BA in FILM & MEDIA, in Birkbeck College, London. His love for writing resulted in completing five feature film screenplays as well as many shorts, including GO CRAZY, which won 2nd Prize in Shore Script Contest in 2017.

Kae published his first novel, Letters from a Kurd, in the UK in 2015. He has produced several documentary films for Channel 4, BBC and Al Jazeera English. His latest, NO FRIENDS BUT THE MOUNTIANS, is distributed by Journeyman Pictures and is available on Amazon Prime.

I AM SAMI, Kae’s directorial debut in film drama, had over 150 screenings in international film festivals, winning 53 awards. Currently, Kae is developing a couple of short films; JERUSALEM and RUF, and his debut feature film, DOLPHINS IN THE SKY to shoot in 2020 in Bath. When not working on his own projects, Kae loves to be on set in the role of First Assistant Director on other filmmakers’ shoot.

Riki Butland

BIOGRAPHY

Riki is an international award winning Director of photography and is an absolute master of his craft. His obsession with film started as a child, (inspired by his Mother a talented professional photographer). He began his career as a stills photographer, and was trained by some of the world’s top stills specialists in fashion and beauty. His career progressed and soon he entered the film industry.

First as an assistant to world class DOP’s, during this period he learned from the best about creative lighting. His passion and ability was soon recognized and he became a DOP on his first feature film in 1991, since then he has gone on to create some stunning TVC’s as both DOP and Director. In 2005 Riki was invited to join the British Guild of Cameraman. More recently he has worked with top Bollywood Directors Priyadashun on “Tezz” and Arshad Pathan on “Unforgettable” and then operated on Fast and Furious 7 2014 and Star Trek 2015 and has just finished shooting the biggest Pakistan film ever made “Sherdil” a full on action film about a Pakistan Air force pilot. As a DOP Riki has a big cinematic style and has experience in virtually every market category.

He is notorious for his speed and technical knowledge and excels at leading his team in creating outstanding images, even in the most challenging situations. His passion is for finding beauty in even the most mundane subjects, but if you pushed him he would say he specializes in fashion, beauty but also ends up shooting a lot with animals especially horses, which he seems to be the go to guy for.

Tristan Kane

BIOGRAPHY

Tristan Kane is a classically trained Australian composer. After completing studies through the Berklee School of Music in Boston he has based himself in London where along with Ellakova he works on a diverse range of productions including films, video games, card games and apps.

His first collaboration with Laith was in 2016 on Forgive, a short film that was screened at the 2017 Beverly Hills Film Festival. Anita Pico

Production Designer

BIOGRAPHY

Driven by her passion for art, film & design, Anita Pico directed her first short film “Camille” at twenty-two years old, winning the Audience Award at Durham Film Festival. Born in the north of Spain, she graduated with a Summa Culm Laude Degree at Saginaw Valley State University, where she explored her art in different fields, including theatre, design or photography.

Her short “Blacks or Whites”, graduation film from the University for the Creative Arts, premiered at the British Film Institute in London in 2019.

Pico has been selected as part of the “New Creatives” program by BBC Arts and Arts Council, shooting her project “What a Circus”, set to premiere in BBC platforms in 2020.

She currently works in film productions as Art Department and Digital Designer.

Andrew Davies

Freelance Casting Director, specialising in theatre but also working across film and TV.

She has a BA Hons in Film and Video and years of experience filming, editing, directing and producing. She is a one-woman production company with top-of-the range kit, always striving  to exceed expectations with every video she produces. Her aim is to deliver a compelling film that meets client requirements and she works with great efficiency and attention to those very important details. She also trains people through the process of production as an accreddited Arts Awards Adviser for Bronze and Silver levels.

Harry Joao Woodford

Moved to the UK in 2013 and has been working as a Web Developer and Designer for over 5 years.

Harry’s now working as a Duty Manager in an Everyman Cinema due to his huge passion in films. He strives to find a way to help make the indie film community a place of freedom and enjoyment, providing a lasting experience for both the creators and the audience.

Since, Harry became the founder of Cinebooth, a fast growing community in the indie film industry, increasingly recognised for running large, friendly events in London. His goal is to open his very own cinema.

Bruno

BIOGRAPHY

Born Portuguese, Bruno moved to the UK in 2015. He became a biomedical scientist for a job, but his true passion is to explore the complexities of the world within or around himself. His fascination for optical systems is overarching, spanning from a microscope to a telescope, and also cameras, which branch into an admiration for photography and film.

Being a right hand to Harry, Bruno adds his creative force to Cinebooth social media and is involved with tech and most of administrative aspects of the project.
